You fella's reckon i need to make a shroud for these fans? or just mount them as is with some quick welding using some 1/2" steel stock and make the frame match up to the hold bolt holes.
I originally thought i needed to but now i'm thinking they'll pull more than enough air through the rad without needing an air tight fit.

you just need to support them so that they don't vibrate themselves to death (depending on how fast they spin)
it might not be a bad idea to have a shroud around them though... so it deflects some of the cold air in the winter time.
they spin crazy fast but they're very well balanced and they are on sorta like... bushings? they don't really vibrate at all which surprised me... and they don't stick out at all either! That's why i got em ^.^ They are about as thick as ... a car stereo deck.
How do you suppose i "brace" them? I was going to make a very light frame that would bolt to the hold bolts from the stock shroud and the fans would then bolt to that frame...
What are they from?
As for anti-vibration, I'd recommend "boxing" each of them, with the top and bottom of each "box" running the width of both and the inner member shared. Possibly put a bit of rubber bushing between your frame and the bolt boss they attach to to give them a little free reign.
i thought they were off a v6 taurus
i don't see why you need a shroud the fans basically cover the whole rad already. and i've seen people use single ebay slim lines with no shroud and no issues
Yeah i was thinking they would be ok without one since, as you say, they cover most of hte rad anyways. Thanks for the input!

I asked someone about the wiring months ago and i think it was dillenger who said...
"Brown wire is ground.There are two wires from the relay; a red/black and a red/white.Red/black is for the high speed,Red/White is low speed.They both run to the thermo switch in the bottom of the radiator.I deleted the low speed because i think you need the a/c relay to work both.Then i coupled the 12v Red/black(high speed) with the 12v on the fan motor.Its basically a stand alone system."
I don't recall who, i just copied the message into note pad. BUT from that there it sounds pretty straight forward. But when you look at the relay and the stock wiring there are wires and unused connectors everywhere!
