I like your style!
My 85 Golf looks about the same. The whole car was painted in rocker guard. No stone chips here, might get sticky in the summer though! lol. Good thing it's only a winter beater! If I knew how to post the pictures I would.

Don't talk to me about lowered cars. When I got mt TDI, it was lowered 2", and it took 2 oil pans to buy a skid plate, and another oil pan (with the skid plate on the car) to find the stock springs to put it back in the air.

The only thing that I would get is the trims and stuff to go around your headlights and side markers. Army green would look good. I'm almost considering painting my '89 like that when the time comes. 8)

yeah i don't know why they were missing when i got it.. lolI was actually thinking of something like this:

Courtesy of Kompressorgolf on the Tex.

and making it go around the flush with the high beams, and then step down for the low beams.. and then wrap around the markers. His looks really good when he finishes it.

I think it will look Snazzzy

That's pretty amazing. I think it would look neat to have the body exactly like Tyler's hood is like. and then the eng. bay could be a really nice metallic high gloss paint surrounding a gleaming engine.

Those cars are PIMP... did you not see my beast in my thread?

http://vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16572&start=60

you can see where I had to weld the seatbelt back on the drivers side in the last picture. The floor is gone and the paint is so so.
Now that I told 8v to put a giant white star on the hood with the army green I am thinking the same...or I have always liked black.

Oh yes you posted something about brakes and tires. I just had one like you did and the ebrake cable would rub on my left rear. I fixed it with some zip ties. Also the out of balance thing could be a flat spot if the tire was ever stored low on air and in a bad spot. Just drive it a bit or take it to a balancer and find out :D
PS. I love cheese too. My wife hates when I tell her Velveeta is my favorite vegatable because it has a ton of soy in it LOL. I live in the heart of Amish country and tons of cows=tons of cheese houses=happy me!

Ive got a pretty-er version of 8v of fury's!

Seriously though 8v. Put some love back in the car. Get a grill and light inserts and just take the bumper right off.

HAH, ED i LOVE it!! That looks like most neglected cars in Ontario, where people don't care when there rear struts go.. and the as end drags around :P

"I don't know what you heard about me
But a b**** can't get a dollar out of me
No Cadillac, no perms, you can't see
That I'm a M*****F****** P-I-M-P "

All four cars posted in this thread are PIMP lol especially Kantdrivefast.. I LOVE THE HEADLIGHT  grilles!! lol

Yupp a Giant White star next to the main 150mm Howitzer :P I think it will set the whole theme of fantastically! lol

Do they allow Sans-Bumper in B.C? I wouldn't chance it around here.. If i didn't have my rear bumper i would have a bashed in rear end.. 3 maybe even 4 times now.. People here suck.. lol I've put love in to it :( what are looks? lol some people are so obsessed with looks.. lmao I run synthetic oils, i use a mann filter, k&n air filter, run fuel injector cleaner every few tanks, and lucas oil stabalizer. I give it the love. lol PLUS! i have the grille.. but without the headlight parts.. it looks twice as dumb lol so i took it off to preserve it :) lol When i go with the mesh desgin it will be one! muhahaha

BTW back to the original topic. I went out to the gf's yesterday morning. It has been raining here for like 43 hours.. so this dirt road i took was washed out and ROUGH as hell. naturally i barreled down it doin 110:P thinking i was a kick ass rally-driver. it was shweet. It seemed to stop the noise.. its not there at all anymore. However i think a new problem arose :( I felt a little .. how do i describe it.. with the car parked, i can grab gold of the driver front and slightly wiggle it side to side probably about 1/4" each way if that. maybe 1/8.. anyway.. I jacked it up.. and the movement isnt the bearing which i thought it was because it only moves left to right (looking at the tire level and dead on). and not up and down or diagonally. Also not the BJ due to left and right and not up and down. So i had it jacked up and did the movement and waht it looks like is the hole tie rod is moving like its loose at the steering box?? can this happen? the passenger side doesn't do it..

Holy crap long POST lol. I think we need more pics!

And my other (yet still significant lol) loves...

p.s The love order goes as this:

1. Car
2. Truck
3. Evinrude (dog)
4. Carolyn (the warden lol)

If she ever saw this.. i'd die.. because she is the "Warden" she claims first spot.. when shes around...    lol

I wouldnt say my car is legal sans bumper.... but Ive never been hassled. Besides, the damn thing weighs half as much as I do! I dont have any pictures of it without the bumper yet. Perhaps I shall take some. As far as looks go... its easy to make it look good for cheap. Wheels off of an old beamer, $80 shipped to my door. Had to grind the calipers a little to make em fit. The headlight grills are gone unfortunately, but only because it has PIAA H4s in the high beams. Id love to do a round light conversion if I could find a cabby to rob parts off though. I like the mesh grill your going to do. Definitely do a build up post on it.

Pics later today maybe.
