Ok guys I think I may have found my next car, I have a pretty good idea about value on these and I will do my best to describe it as best as I can.
1991
Turbo Diesel.
5spd,
AC
Big bumper car
160k miles
Body is good, there is the usual rust under the drivers wiper on the cowl and a small spot back by the drivers tail light. I'm not concerned about either.
Interior is good, no tears etc, Sun roof that doesn't leak.
Tires are good, has OE steel 13" wheels on it.
Based on the provided info what do you all think?

For what its worth, here's my 2 cents...
In my experience, I would say it depends on your location.
I live in southern Ontario, but I bought my current 1.6 TD in Quebec for 700, it needed lots of work and had 400k kms on it.
Karma then balanced out when my girlfriend remembered that her cousin had one of the same cars (she recognized it once i brought it home :x ) and I ended up picking it up as a parts car for 200$. It has 380K kms and has a better body.
Depends what it will need to get it on the road reliably I guess, and if you plan on modding it?
With your description and no pictures, I wouldnt go above 2k... It is almost a 20 year old car after all

you would need to find the correct core support because i don't have it! i do have an early westmoreland core support that has the early 6x9 head lights
if you wanna go that early retro look

Well, you asked for it, so here is my opinion:
I think you should keep your car that is pictured in your avatar.
But if you are just looking to buy a MKII turbo diesel, than I would pick it up if I could get it for under $2000.
$1500 would be nice!

The car in the avitar is gone already.
I was finally able to go see it in person. the interior was far for a 20+ year old car, the body was.... well ok i guess. had some spots that were "fixed" the primed with a Red primer. ewe..
it staryed right up and sounded good but i think he is asking to much for it so fot now he can keep it. I'll stay in touch with him and report back if something actually happens.

OH NO! I am sorry to hear about your loss!
I haven't been keeping track of your sale thread, but I am sad to hear that you sold it. (I know, we all do things that need to be done!)
But, good luck with your next project!
I hope you get this car and create a thread of your build process like you did with the other one.
