Hey guys!
I have 210mm Act stage three race spec clutch kit but i dont have the 210mm flywheel. Would it be possible to use the 200mm flywheel? like geting it machined or sumthing?
Will i have to get it balanced?
Appreciate the help.

theoretically if you remove the same amount all the way around, it should stay balanced...

What do you have done to the motor? We need more info.

IIRC the ACT clutch disks are 200mm. Measure it. If its 200mm then you will have no problem.

Been awhile since I did a clutch,..
The 210mm flywheels have 9 bolts right?
It seems like the 200mm flywheel uses 6 bolts to hold it to the pressure plate.
It also seems like the 200mm disc fit pretty tight in the flywheel,... close to the bolts,... a 210 clutch disc might cut the bolts.

could you use a 210mm flywheel on our engines?

yes. you will need a 210mm pressure plate too though. dont do it unless you are applying some serious power though.

The timing marks on some of the gasser flywheels might not be in the right place for diesels.

This is true...
Yes you can use a 210mm flywheel/pressure plate combo on our engines. Several people including myself are running the 210mm combo.
I'm running a Clutchnet 8 puck ceramic disk with a SACHS Super Clutch pressure plate and a lightened flywheel.
I can slip it @ freeway speeds under heavy boost so I'll be changing it to a 6 puck set up like 53 willys is running.

How does the Sachs Super pressure plate compare to the clutchnet red pressure plate?

I don't think it's as good and I'll be getting The Red when its time for a replacement.
For all I know it's just paint :x

Hopefully the clutchnet cover has a relocated pivot for the heat treated diaphragm. :?:
Usually that is all that is done to improve clamp force.
Have you tried a 4 puck? not as traffic friendly as the 6 tho.

No I wont be trying the 4 puck, I don't believe they make it with a sprung hub.
The 6 puck will hold more then we can produce I'm betting. The 8 puck I have now does pretty dang good once it's warmed up.

There is a 3-4 puck sprung hub....maybe not clutchnet though. I have run so many different types of clutches over the years.....
Tried double diaphrams with stock discs, stock pressure plates with 3 pucks even was a dealer for Competition clutch and clutchmaster....I hate the stiff PPlates, they tear up thrust bearings...and my L knee

It looks as if clutchnet has both 3 and 4 puck sprung discs.

What sort of pressure plates do you prefer? I know the 16v PP is supposed to be stiffer than the 8v but most people claim there's virtually no difference in pedal stiffness.
