• I got that one too, showed up really quick considering it came from Germany. Looks just like the picture. Packaged well, but he goes a little heavy on the packaging tape, was a B to open  :twisted:

• im really interested to take the time opening this guys over the top packaging. how long did it take to arrive?
  
  was there the extension that goes onto the ip from the dial gauge in the kit? did it come with a box for storage?

• 21 days today and still waiting but anything from anywhere takes 3 week to be delivered aroud here it seems  
  Maybe today...I'll post about the packaging.

  Came in today (21 days later) but like I said before I'm in a geographical oddity- three weeks from anywhere! :roll:  Packaging was excelent and a tad heavy with tape.
  And yes it has an extention rod for the IP and only a storage box for the gauge. The rest is loose hardware :cry:

• I got mine today. Package was so protected in tape an paper that its nuts. Im glad to announce that the quality of the kit is really high.

• I bought the same kit.  This will be first timing belt ever.  Does anyone know of any instructions on how to assemble the three pieces for the dial indicator and adapter?

• I got one of these as well. How far on do you push the adapter piece onto the dial gauge?? If you push it on all the way it looks like the extension rod sticks out too far.

• Sorry about the off topic, but I was wondering if this item was absolutely required to swap the IP...
  
  I mean, i have to swap my engine and make everything work by next weekend :S
  
  Isn't there some kind of markings i can use for "TEMPORARY" timing and make it perfect when i receive that kit ?

• If you use the Bentley manual specs, and time it spot-on the mark on top of the injection pump and line it up to the mark on the mounting bracket, you'll end up having the pump out of whack. I usually find that when I use that mark as a reference, and then time with a dial indicator, it's usually retarded by about 30-50mm. So, the car will run, but you won't have much power and you're gonna have a rough idle at startup.

• I was told that the valve clearance when you set it up without the Ip is sooo close the cars bairly running...
  
  I can report for a fact that you will have less power and a rough idle but It will run! Probubley youd be better off just marking the belt with a perminent marker and then just count teeth on the new one!
  
  If you have never done the timing before or never heard the car running properly then you will probubley not noticed the "sound" of a properly timed engine as appose to the ghetto timing version
  good luck, If I was you I wouldnt drive the car for as long as I did without getting it tunned at a performance shop
  
  now my pumps on the right tooth and running at 1.0 and wittout the timing tool you will not know what 1.0 is or where
