I've just finished fitting my T3 into my AAZ ( whoa what a difference  ) and turned up the Boost ( 23 psi ) via a manual boost controler, as well as making adjustments to fuel screw and 1.6 pin in pump.
problem: under hard acceleration ( keep in mind that I shift around 4500 RPM ) the engine seems to have a flat spot from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. When I hit the Go-pedal in 1st, big black cloud and about 5 psi ( normal )
in 2nd again big black cloud until boost hits 15+
3rd is fine until boost hits 23 ( around 4500 RPM ) then the engine seems to stutter a bit ( no Smoke )
4th still 23 psi keeps stuttering until boost drops to 20 at 3500 RPM then goes like a rocket again to 4500 ( no Smoke )
5th 23 psi goes like stink all the way to 4500 RPM. ( no Smoke )
do I need a lift pump? if this were a gas engine I would definately say it is starved for Gas, Can the Pump be starved for fuel due to the quick rpm demand from 1st to 3rd? or if I just give it more fuel could that solve the problem?
so at 20 psi its fine and 23 psi theres an issue??? i wonder if the turbo itself is having problems... could also be the governor kicking in. T3 is efficient to about 20 psi or so, and then starts to create more exhaust back pressure.
I would add a lift pump for sure and wouldn't be suprised if it fixed your issue.

It seems to have more of a hard time at WOT, if I give it less throttle in 1st and 2nd it's fine, not as quick to take off tho
turbo seems fine in 4th and 5th... starts off at 18 or so psi by the time I shift and flow well thru to 23 psi.
