Which fixed geom. turbo for an AHU mTDI ?

Hi,
(still collecting parts for an mTDI setup to be put into an Mk2 Golf :) I found an AHU engine whose downpipe is missing. As vendors here tend to sell only "clusters" of engine parts it might be easier for me to find another turbo with its downpipe rather than the downpipe for the stock K03.
Note
¤ 1. that the mount is primarily intended for reliability and *not* (necessarily) for performance - so : my ideal setup would be as discrete as possible and maybe lack any intake cooling device - that is feature a bigger turbo - but anyway (almost) be a bolted assembly of stock VW parts.
¤ 2. I have not enough time to properly fit any waste gate driven VNT
Any advices/comments/criticisms ?
Thanks

If you're happy keeping the K03 why not just buy a replacement pattern downpipe? I used a 1Z downpipe on mine as that comes separate to the cat, whereas the AHU has the cat integrated and so it really expensive. Mine was only £70 or $140.
If you don't want an intercooler then probably the easiest thing is the T3 turbo & manifold set up from an AAZ as that has all the right plumbing already in place.

Yes, thousand thanks !
These two solutions were something I thought about but I was not sure 1Z downpipes (that is for GT15 turbos - right ?) suit.
If I understand it right mounting a T3 is just a matter of bolting it on an AAZ manifold but what about the downpipe ? I ask this beause I could read TDI engines were higher and thus require a longer downpipe ... do you mean an AAZ downpipe (for K14 turbos) just bolts to a Garrett T3 to match the right height of an Mk2 Golf exhaust pipe ?
That would be so cool that I simply can't believe it !

The difference in height is between the 1.6 and the 1.9 motors, not between the "IDI" motor and the "TDI" motor.
So...a 1.6 IDI TD block is slightly shorter than the 1.9 blocks (both AAZ "IDI" and the TDI). If you use the AAZ dp with the TDI motor...you'll be set.

AHU and 1Z both use the K03 (mine do anyway). Downpipes are intechangable at the turbo - the only difference is the 1Z has a separate cat (so you can throw it away!) and the AHU is integrated with the cat.

Thanks, commercial links are also welcomed.
It looks like the K04 would be the perfect turbo for my needs. It seems that the outlet of its cold section could be oriented either upwards or downwards, but would it bolt on an AAZ manifold without any adaptor plate?
I am sorry I still do not know anything about the bolting pattern of the AAZ ...
Also you wrote that it is "a more or less bolt on replacement" so: is there any other difference than the bigger diameter of the outlet of its cold section?
Possibly this discussion is something that should be continued by private messages or by email but I am curious at why your prices seem so low when compared with french ones and where your business is located in.
Any other comments?

Just fyi, these are "knock off" chinese turbos. They do take some work to fit. The factory intake pipe will not bolt up for example.
It looks like he redid the wastegate setup on some of them. The old wastegate setup was an apsolute joke.

The T3 turbo used on the old 1.6's is a larger turbo than this, but [...] you might have to custom fabricate an exhaust.
Sorry but it does look like the fittings are just the same for any IDI turbo, which would imply that the AAZ downpipe would suit for (eg :) a T3 on a TDI - right ?
