• I have a 5speed trans from a 1.6L diesel (91 Jetta).  Was working fine when pulled.

• I was pulled from  a real TD not a eco.  Is there anyway I can tell by looking at it?

• Yup. Read the code off the bottom of the bell housing and look here.

• The number on the trans is AOP21051 so according to the chart it is from a 87-89 golf/jetta.  Some must have changed it at some point or the chart is not right.
