anyone tried them? is it a waste of time? can i just make one?
thanks! can't wait to make my own hillbilly shifter!
I had a missing linkz kit on my rabbit. I hated it with a passion. I never really took the time to properly install it and fine tune it though, it was one of the first things I ever did on a car. I'm sure it's a wonderful kit once it's all dialed in. I prefer plug and play though.
yeah i looked at that stuff, it looks really nice. it looked stainless, which would last a long time with things getting so rusted out down there.
i used them before... nothing really all that impressive to me, but i'm not worried about how long my shift is. my friend had one on her car too and it made her ***ty trans grind really bad so u gotta have a car in good shape
i made one last night and it worked out pretty darn good for a first try, need to do a little more adjusting but i added about an inch and a half to the level and added a mk3 weight and it was alot shorter to shift and pretty fun too! no grinding gears, made it feel nice and stiff.
