You can buy it from vwdieselparts.com. I got a complete set with dial indicator off ebay for ~$75 shipped from Germany. I like that because then I know for sure that the dial indicator works with the adapter.
I am going to need the tools to adjust the timing of my pump and was curious if you had a chance to use the tool you got off of ebay. If so, how did it work?
Thanks in advance

Works fine, I would have prefered metric, but no complaints other than that.
I just bought from the same seller the unit that you have. Once I get the unit I'll know more about the quality of it but, the price is something that I can afford at the moment. I'll just have to do the conversion to metric I guess.
Next up is buying the camshaft and injection pump locking tools.

>>Thanks for the replies, I already have the pump locking pin and the cam locking tool so the combo is more than I need, but I did buy the Ebay item below, seemed reasonable.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4537214942That's the same one I bought and used for my caddy's last timing job. Works just fine. Probably not the overall best quality tool like the german ones and it's not metric, but it did the job.

When I bought that dial gauge it came with a pump locking pin, if yours does not I can sell you this extra one I have.
