I think the BAE turbo kit was bought back in '81, but not really sure. I called the company on the receipt named Reliable Auto Accessories to see if they had any more laying around, but no they didn't. Also he asked me if I would sell it back to him for the same price. But I declined.

ya know I think that your kit is gotta be worth 2,500 to 3,500 just because it has never been installed I think you otta save it and find a good used one to use! I really balieve you have the last new B.A.E. in existance! you should call that westech company maybe they still have them old boostgages ? i wonder if they made other gages that went with the boost gage to match?
well if you do let me know what they say? I wonder if I should start a B.A.E. registery to see where they are at and how many left? oh by the way does that spearco you have the aneroid in the injection pump? if it does send me a pic. to my E-mail at
[email protected] I would like to get my hands on one of them aneroids for my B.A.E.
thanks Duane

there was a BAE registry I think...a while back. I think Jake *fspGTD* may have had that link on his site. There were a few places out there that had "registered" kits in use on cars, etc. Nothing this complete though.
I do remember a registry though of BAE kits, Callaway kits and one other... that eludes me at the moment. Arkay....Rajay? Sound familar...hmm...think that may be the turbo itself.

Thanks for all you compliments. Yes I should try to get in touch with that company that made the gauges. Ya never know, they might have some.
To your question about the fuel inrichment, I do have the one for the
Spearco. But its got some kind of special length rods used to measue the amount of fuel witch I dont have, along with the spear turbo kit. I'll try to
get some pics soon.

Engine is definitely sold, thanks Cliff and the Samba. I emailed some photos of the Vanagon set-up to burn_your_money. I hope he can get them up and posted.

A friend has a caddy with a spearco turbo kit on it and it sucks, ~4 PSI by redline with no boost produced during normal driving. I should have time this winter to put my old VNT15 on it which with a pump rebuild/LDA addition will wake it right up.
