Title: Two pumps "not so" perfect for building mtdi ? will seperate 1.6 td and tdi

I have for sale a 10mm tdi pump that had a bad QA with a 1.6td pump! Put them together and build yourself an mtdi pump or use them for ? The tdi pump came from a 1z with 142,000 on it and was running when QA went goofy and i had to get towed home from ohio. The TD came off an 85 jetta years ago and has been sitting around since. I'd like to get $260 plus shipping?

  Whats a QA?  I own one of each and could use the 1Z pump as a backup, and could use the turbo pump as well...

1.6TD pump is a very poor base pump for an mTDI build.

Why would the 1.6td be the base pump? Couldn't you also use the 1.9tdi as base pump and adapt the throttle control and boost bits? I'm not at all saying I have any experience on this one merely read some threads. If anyone is interested in either pump separately shoot me an offer. I need cash for a vacation i promised the gf!

you cant just take a TDI pump, and bolt a TD pump top on it and have a m-tdi pump..

you need an AAZ pump, a 1.6TD pump, and a TDI pump to build a M-TDI correctly..

good deal on the pumps, none the less.. wish i had some money, they would be mine.
