Good one...Mine can keep up with 70-75 mph traffic which is pretty much normal around here...thankfully.

It is a VW_dillac  That is why they race around you.  They just want to see it from front and back.

It never gets old seeing people try to figure out what the heck I'm driving. Usually it's the 20's crowd, many of whom drive a brand new jetta or bug, but have no idea what it is I'm driving.

Oh and my car is debadged, except the vw logo in the grill (bought it that way, unfortunately)

Not sure about the power plant in this one.  I would like to know how the window covers work for him.  With all the rain I deal with it might be just the thing to have to allow the window to vent some while driving without introducing the wet element.  Might need to go looking for a set.  I have a 2 door.

But I like the trim level on this one.  Not quite plain Jane not overly done either.

Haha right a custom touch by me.  I bought it with just the base of an ornament I am guessing it had rabbit ears that broke off.  It's an 81 ls 1.6na options are all the extra chrome bits and the interior is alot nicer than standard wood grain dash and fancier door cards with the velvety seats. Has ac but no sun roof rear wiper or power steering.  And the trunk is fully carpeted.  Nice car I got it with only 85k it's now almost 140k buy I have taken good care of it.  I like the vent window things kinda nice in the summer u can let ur windows cracked with out worrying about rain

Did the chrome window trims come with the car or did you add them to nice it up?  If so what kind of price were they?

Rain here about 9 mths a year.  Summer rain not really an issue unless you get caught in a thunderstorm on the eastside of the Cascades.

It is the constant drizzle that makes me think these would do me good to have.  DAS

Mine came with the chrome window trim and chrome on the door handles, appears to be stock. I don't think they provide extra weather protection though? Not that I can tell anyways, my doors still leak just a little, need to fix the weather strips.

they came on it, i don't think i've really changed anything appearance wise on the car other than slightly lowering it and different wheels.  has bilstein sports with h&r springs and jom lowering spring caps, yellow dot pump, and converted gti tach with 120mph speedo.
