Title: Injection Pump Pulley!
Post by: ffgb on December 14, 2009, 11:49:20 am
How do you guys loosen and tighten the Injection Pump Pulley?  What tools do you use if you do not have that fancy long bar tool to add resistance in the opposite direction of travel when loosen/tighten Injection Pump Pulley bolt?
Thanks

you can put a screwdriver through one of the holes in the pulley into the hole in the bracket behind it

This works well too if you use a deep socket. Can't remember the size but if you try a few you can get one that locks the pulley completely. The vw tool is a cylinder of some sort that fits into the pulley hole, then hole behind it.
