I'm taking my Jetta on its first extended roadtrip since I bought her March 2006. Since then, I've overhauled the suspension, rear brakes and wheel bearings and will be tackling the front brakes and wheel bearings once I get the steering knuckles from a Jetta GT to complete the 9.4" to 10.1" upgrade. I also hope to schedule the timing belt job with Wingaman when I find out my work schedule for next week.
My concern is from the blow-by on Injector #1 (closest to belt cover). With normal driving, there doesn't seem to be any blow by... it only occurs the rare times that I spin the engine past 4000 rpm. When there's blow-by, it usually results in a fine spray pattern over the intake pipe. Should I worry? All I'm looking to do is set the cruise control at 110kph and let it ride for 1250km each way.
