I am looking to purchase wheel spacers for my 03 jetta wagon tdi. Can anyone tell me what is a good size to get and possibly some pics so I can actually see for myself. Thanks Guys.

I'm contemplating the same thing for my 97 Jetta. A local shop suggested 8mm to 10mm spacers. They said any larger than that and I'd have to switch over from bolts to studs and might run into clearance issues.

..for some shop to say you will be OK with extending your wheel without making any changes is like letting someone else playing with your life ...(the new wheel will probably bolt up but not safely.)...manufactures don't give any extra spare length to the bolt or stud...10mm spacer means a 10 mm longer bolt or screw in stud to give you the same safety margins as Stock

I should clarify....with the 10mm spacers, I would have to run a longer bolt. If I go larger than a 10mm spacer, they told me I would have to switch the car over to studs.

They did not tell me I could stick with my stock bolts. Sorry if it sounded that way.

No problem. Wouldn't want to mislead anyone, especially where safety is concerned.
