First post here guys, lots of great info. I have to put a new head gasket on my Jetta, and found a site called VOLKSWAPARTS.COM that has alot of parts and tools on it. I was wondering if this is a very good place to use to order parts from, or if you all might have a better suggestion. Thanks-Nicholas

Hey thanks for the support for a new member there all knowing DR.Diesel! I blew a headgasket on my '89 Jetta with 240,000 + miles, and found this place when i was surfing around for the tool kit and parts to repair it. I thought maybe there would be a few people willing to help a guy out with some information as to the reputation of the aforementioned company. When searching I ran across it and several other .com names that appeared to be the same site. I didn't know if it was a company that was just trying to take advantage of their advertising buck or if was just another site that takes your money with no delivery of the product. So, if ANYONE else has any input on the question I posted, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again-Nicholas

My apologies to our sarcastic new member. We have been inundated by first posters advertising all sorts of junk, and my anti-spam gun has a hair trigger these days...
You have to admit, if you were the owner of that company, your post here would attract your site a good number of hits!
Good luck with your gasket change. The search engine on here will yield good results to just about any question you have, as well as input from other members, even suspicious pricks like meself.

Lotsa parts at good prices on that site.
So why is contacting them such a secret? Can't find an address or so much as a phone number before they ask for my credit card #, that's a little frustruating
Thanks anyway, I like to know who I'm dealing with. In Canada I'll continue to order from Brian Harrison @ Roseland.
In the US there are a good number of options.

Dr.Diesel-apology accepted, I guess I could have been a little more open to that point of view. I guess I was just a little aggravated when I came back hoping for some helpful input to my query, but got a comment that probably diverted some good answers instead. Thanks alot guys for the input and research into this guys website, it seems a little too shady to do business to me. I have done business with dieselgeek for my wife's 2000 TDI Beetle, but they don't really seem to carry much for the NA 1.6 crowd. I will definately be checking into some of the suggestions posted on here and PM'd to me. Thanks again-Nicholas

I talked to him through e mail although he did send me his Phone # in case I want to talk to him.
I recieved my cam plate, reseal kit and timing set Sat.
It does appear to be chinese stuff but looks to be good quality.
I'll be getting it installed soo I hope.
