Hey all,
I feel like a dufus coming to the forum with a question like this, but I have nowhere else to turn!
I removed the speedo cable from my tranny (020 1987) in order to fill up the fluid and now I can't seem to get it back into place.
I thought it was seated properly, so I replaced the screw, however, the speedometer did nothing. I was happy that the gear wasn't reduced to plastic shrapnel during this experiment!
SO: How the heck to I get the speedo cable gear to mesh properly once again inside the tranny?
Thanks In Advance,

I had problems with this recently myself. After messing with it for way too long I realised that the mounting flange piece was not up high enough on the speedo cable. Once I massaged it into place it popped right into place. I'd suspect this is your problem as well
It Worked!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
I'm glad you could figure out what I was talking about
