golf vs diesel corolla

I took on a new model 2.0 corolla diesel on the highway with a little TD Golf, btw this is my freinds mk1 golf that runs some 11mm plunger pump with bosio SD297 nozzles and 18 psi boost from a KKK K24

I was going towards an oil refinery about 200 kms north of Karachi. and I passed this shiny new corolla on the way at abt 80 km/h, turbo whistling, exhaust slightly blowing black and all, seeing this the guy floored it, the corolla torqued upto 100 km/h and then lost puff thereon, while I kept strong till about 165 km/h, when I finally stopped at a station to fill er up the corolla guy pulls over and starts to ask what in the name of God is this contraption (most people here have never seen a modern VW just the aircooled bugs) - he said he pushed out to 140km/h but I was too quick for him.

Makes you feel bossy that you drive a REAL machine that you bought for less than 10% of the price of his rolla and get abt 40% more MPG and can outrun his pokemon toy.

His expression was priceless when I told him its 1.6 litres.

Diesel IS the future
