Drove it home from the dealership 10 miles, then to work 20 miles, then it wouldnt start. Cranked over but wouldnt fire. They just did the timing belt, fuel filter, mass air flow, air filter, water pump on it. Any clue as to what could be going on? It ran fine the 30 miles I got to drive it. Needless to say they'll be towing it and fixing it tomorrow
Did they fill it up with gasoline before they gave it to you?
Don't laugh. Happened about 5 times at the dealership where I used to work.

Dont know, It had a half tank when I got it and I didnt fill it up. Didnt even use a gallon of fuel before it died. I let it sit for 5 hours, went back and it started. I drove it to the dealer today, expressed my rage, and I havent heard back yet from them.
...they said it was some engine power supply thing that was working intermittently....... whatever
"Relay 109"?
If this happens again - take a look under the hood at the EGR/anti-shudder valve. On both of my NB's that I've owned - once or twice each car had the ASV stuck shut from a previous shutdown. With the ASV stuck shut, the engine won't start.
All this valve does is reduce the amount of shudder the engine has when you shut it down. Disconnecting the vacuum hose at the ASV won't set a CEL or anything else. Be careful disconnecting the hose as you will probably snap off the brittle plasitc nipple.
