1.6 head on a 1.9

I have been told that I can use a 1.6 Hydraulic head on my 1.9 block. Is that true?  If so, will it just bolt right up, or will I have to do some modifications?

The head from the 1.9 is toast and not turbo equipped anyway, but I believe the block is turbo ready (piston oilers, etc.).  

I would love to take the head off my 1.6TD (with the dead engine) and just swap it onto the 1.9 block!!!!
