Everyone is thinking the same thing: send your pump to Giles... he's in the vendor section.

Well I have a TD pump that I could send to Giles for you, I've done it twice already, never had a problem

i was thinking more along the lines of one thats used but good to run for a while...
that way i can get the motor running and broke in, while sending off a different pump for giles and then putting it in when i get it back...
that way i can a) break in the motor, and b) save $ for giles while i break the motor in and work out any kinks

Forgive my stupidity, but can I send off an NA pump to Giles and have him add an LDA while he works his magic?
I'll be adding a VNT 15 to a caddy later this summer and want to know if I need to start hunting down a turbo pump, although it seems like Mr. Money has plenty of them ;-)

That would depend if he had one. Better to search a wrecker, and pull the adenoid off...

I think my question is: can a NA pump that has an LDA for altitude compensation be easily switched over to a TD?
Thanks,

I just took mine appart (alt comp LDA) and looks to me like it would work just fine. The true TD pum may have a differant fuel delivery pin but even if it does all ya need to do is add a nipple to the top of the LDA lid for the referance port and your good to go.
I would highly recomend if you decide to do this that you remove the diaphram and pin so you can clean it up good. mine are nasty and the littl pin that ran on the delivery slope )fuel pin) was frozen in the housing so it took some cleaning up.

When I sent my pump to Giles I sent my spare one too. So I know he should have another TD pump there...atlest he did.

ok so who's got a TD pump /w LDA for sale? lol
preferrably with at least in working non-leaking condition, and the govenor mod would be cool too

I have 2 pumps right now. I may be willing to let one of them go.
Not to sure what it's worth however.
