• I have my injectors apart and soaking in diesel, and before I put em back together I was wondering if it was a good idea to up the breaking pressure a little on them?  Also is there anything I should do besides just clean them up in fuel?  That's all the Haynes says to do.  Thanks.

• actually if you check the compression ratio thread, someone experimented, i believe if you put the injectors to td specs and set the timing to 1 mm it will increase your fuel economy

• there have been some studies into this.
  
  for an IDI engine, depending on compression ratio and swirlchamber design, the optimum breaking pressure is between 1450 and 1700psi.
