I have my injectors apart and soaking in diesel, and before I put em back together I was wondering if it was a good idea to up the breaking pressure a little on them? Also is there anything I should do besides just clean them up in fuel? That's all the Haynes says to do. Thanks.
actually if you check the compression ratio thread, someone experimented, i believe if you put the injectors to td specs and set the timing to 1 mm it will increase your fuel economy
there have been some studies into this.
for an IDI engine, depending on compression ratio and swirlchamber design, the optimum breaking pressure is between 1450 and 1700psi.
hope that helps

You should throw out your Haynes (or sell it on eBay?).

Hey I like 'my' Haynes manuals. They are like a diary littered with all my own personal notes and extra leaves...
