Hi there everyone I have a 1.9 tdi 1z thats done 80k running syth 0/40
The tappets sound a little noisy so i checked the oil pressure and it seems a little low to me! Could you guys let me know what oil pressues at these temps/rpm your getting and if they are anywhere close to mine?

50.... 60 ..... 75 .. cold
24 ... 38 ..... 75 .. 176 f
15 ... 32 ..... 50 .. 185 f
10 ... 20 ..... 50 .. 212 f

Whats your oil change intervals??? Sounds like you may need an oil pump(relatively inexpensive) otherwise have a check of the intermediate shaft bearings, Sometimes an overtensioned T-Belt can wear them out prematurely, which then leads to a low OP condition

Hey there A2TD the motor has had oil changes at every 10k using full synth!  where are those bearings located and how do they lose pressure?shes just had a new oil pump fitted! what sort of oil pressure ae you getting?

If you pull the IM shaft seal cover off, you see right away, the bearing the IM shaft is riding on, DO NOT PULL THE SHAFT OUT, you'll end up causing yourself even more problems. Try wiggling the shaft, if theirs excessive play, you've found your culprit. If the shaft bearings check out ok, well...............next you'll have to start digging in the main and rod bearings for possible wear there.

Are you absolutely sure the pressure gauge your using is acurate????

Just checked my rod and mains plus put new bearings in with a new oil pump  and checked the oil pressure with 2 gauges both read the same the motor is now starting to bug me lol the oil pan is still off what else should i be looking for?

Ok then I'd definitely check the IM shaft bearings, as they are sounding more and more like the culprit
