I agree, I've seen one that was done on a Mazda Miata and it turned out equaly as well.
I wont be doing it however, I have much better things to do with my time.

My brother is in the process of painting his chevette using that method. He did not thin his paint though as it is the non thinning type. He has alot of orange peel but overall it looks very good.

and now he wants to paint the car black??? it's pretty hard to make black look good... all imperfections show up nicely on it :roll:
bym why is your brother driving a chevette when he has access to such nice diesel vw's???

He likes his Chevettes, he's like me but with vettes. He has 4 of them I think. One of them is diesel though, so that's cool. It doesn't run yet, he still has that fear of messing with a diesel engine. It's a 1.8 ISUZU engine.
He wants to do a mid engine install using a 1.9TD but that's alot of work and time

Izuzu engines are fantastic. They are all over Asia. I'm considering importing rebuilt TD engines from overseas..

i know a guy with a diesel chevette... he's trying to sell it actually...
can't remember how much he wants for it, but around $400 or so... it runs!
if your bro is interested i'll ask the guy how much it's going for now.

that is awesome. I need to get some paint on my caddy, maybe ill give this a shot when I have a few days off next week. That is, if I dont buy an 83 cabby and do a light/grill/fender swap first.
