Anyone familair with this company??? I'm rebuilding my TDI and the only other option is kolbenscmidt, but they don't come with the thrust washers, and my supplier said you have to purchase the thrust bearings from the dealer.. any help would be appreciated thanks :)

Glyco is a OEM supplier to VW for bearings, etc. I used them on my rebuild, but did still buy the thrust washers seperately as my Glyco set didn't come with them...

Just STAY AWAY from 2 pc. #3 main style sets... the individual bearings w/ thrusts seperately are much better wearing and friendly to your crank and block!!!! Read a few horror stories out there on the 2pc. style sets...

Thanks alot  :D  I ended up getting the kolbenscmidt set , and purchased the thrust bearing kit form the dealer.

are they 3 piece ???

I need to find some soon myself for my TDI...

A local guy here was able to source them for me, I did however have to purchase the thrust bearings seperatley from the dealer, no biggie though

BTW thanks for the lead on the piston rings  :D

i'll check around to see if i can get the kollben 3 piece and check out the dealer... this motor is going to be going together really soon! i can't wait not to have any blowby running 20 psi  :twisted:

my 1.6TD right now has quite a bit of blowby at 20 psi...  i'm running back at 10 psi with wastegate on and my oil consumption is very very very low...
