Dave,
Couple of quick questions.
Looks like people want to go in house here at the GTD index for a Girdle. You had spoke of making one and prepping the main caps. Could you elaporatr on the process. Would this alter the part number used for the ARP main Studs? DOnt want to buy a set if they will end up being too short.
What is the intake opening size of you new intake-From the intercooler.
Can any additions to the manifold be made for the use of propane? You know, like a preposistioned port that you have capped off?
With a cnc, you should be able to wip out some crank scrapers super easy. Might sell well. Just a thought.
Last one for now, Do you happen to have any of those flow numbers yet for the new parts? Perhaps individual, and then a set for the whole group put together--intake too a polished and ported head too the tubular manifold?
Thanks, Jim Shortill

Jim, basically the main caps have two machined surfaces on the top of the cap for the main bolts faces to tighten down upon, between the two surfaces there is a large non machined cast "hump". This hump needs to be machined down along with the already machined cap surfaces until there is one even plane for the girdle to clamp down on. This will most likely involve needing longer main studs, but I am not sure quite yet, I haven't done any specific measurements. As for crank scrapers if we made some girdles we would design the girdle so that it functioned both as a girdle and a crank scraper.
The inlet on the intake manifolds is 2.5". We can absolutely add extra bungs/threaded fittings etc at your request for extra cost.
We haven't made specific masters yet for all the different combos for the vw diesel heads and manifolds, but we are working on it. I will say that the stock 1.9 alh tdi head and intake manifold flows around 100CFM stock per port, we are over 140cfm per port with the new intake manifolds and head porting on those particular heads.
If you get the chance, post this PM up in that thread about girdles so we can gauge interest.
Dave
