1.6 n/a and 1.6 td crank
« on: May 10, 2007, 04:31:43 am »
hey guys,

i might be coming upon a (rare in aus) 1.6 td soon. its a low hours engine (has been used in agricultural equipment) but has the issue of the small end crank pulley being overloaded due to ancillaries installed.... like hydraulic pumps etc.

if it comes to it i will get it fixed by welding and machining, but, i have a 1.6 n/a bottom end lying around.... will the crank and pulley be the same? could i just swap it over?

cheers

according to VAG that is what was changed to accomodate the turbocharging.
