Is it a turbo engine?
By aneroid are you referring to the top of the pump?
It's either a boost compensator if a turbo engine or a high alt compensator if NA.

it almost looks like something for cruise control... can't really tell what it is connected to though...
tell us what part it is connected to and we might be able to find out

The cable from it goes through the arm pictured and has a "collar" bolted to the cable to allow the diaphram to pull on the lever....I think. It can only pull the lever a little over 1/4 inch.

Thats a mechanical cold start accelerator. I think it keeps the timing plunger from from advancing before a certain engine speed. That one appears to be vacuum actuated.

So it is independant of the normal cold start lever at the bottom of the pump???

It looks like it is hooked up to the same place the cold fast idle linkage is on some pumps. All the timming stuff is down low in the pump.

i am pretty sure that is idle speed boost for a/c
