Rubber G60 VC gasket on 1.9?
« on: May 04, 2007, 09:38:15 am »
Looking for a one piece rubber VC gasket kit for my 1.9 head.  Read a bunch of posts but I think they were all for the 1.6.  Does the G60 rubber gasket work on the 1.9?  If not, does anyone have a part number for one that does?

the g60 one won't work as far as i know,  go to worldimpex.com and then just look up the vc gasket for like a 95 jetta td, they're like 17 bucks or something.

G60 rubber gasket won't fit on a 1.9. The 1.9 valvecover is held on by three nuts from the top while the g60 valve cover (and 1.6  and a bunch of vw 4cyl engines) is held on by 8 nuts around the edge.

Well now, I guess that solves my problem :D
I looked at the above mentioned site, but I couldnt find any that said 1.9.
So any year 1.9td vc gasket will work? That makes life a lot easier.
