I recently removed the injector to do a comp. test. The injector return lines are in pretty sad shape. A couple are barely long enough and really stiff. They are leaking pretty badly.
Anyway, my question is:
Is there supposed to be a rubber cap on one of injector one's return nozzles? Because that is leaking as well. Is there some place to get this cap?
The last injector in line from the pump has a plug on the low pressure side. If you can't find one make one temporarily from plastic fuel line that you heat to melting then squeeze together with a pair of pliers so that it fuses closed. Cut it off a centimetre from the fused part and stick the open end over the spigot on the injector body.
Loosen all of the clamps and both ends of all the lines. They should fit well. Tighten the nuts and then the clamps
There is a low pressure side? How do you tell the difference?
I'm pretty sure it's all the same, as long as you have the lines hooked up in a logical order (one after the other) you should be fine
the low pressure side is basically the fuel return... even being low pressure, there is still a lot of fuel that flows through it.
high pressure is around 155 bar... don't want to be messing around with that too much!
