you could probably fab something up quite easily with a vice and a hammer.

The short or the long ones? TD or NA? If TD I think the gas ones are the same

  Its an NA 82' rabbit, about 2 1/2" long (?) I didn't know there were 2 different lengths, I'll measure one tomorrow.

I know the ones you mean. I seem to recall there being 1 1/2 long ones, but those might be from gassers. I do have some, but you'll pay alot for shipping and they won't be there for 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure that gasser ones will work for you though

coat hanger wouldn't be springy enough i think...  some kind of sheet metal would be good though.  heat it up bend it up and voila.  use a clip as a guide.

it's listed as a sealing clip... and my TD ones are the same as my 1.8 '87 golf gas ones.
