Changing Speedo Cluster
« on: April 12, 2007, 01:20:48 pm »
I want to add a tach to my diesel 1.9td currently i have a cluster with a BIG useless clock. I want to know if i can get a speedo cluster from any vw car gas or diesel and what i have to do to install it.  Will the km change etc. Also being that the red lines may be different and such what is the best way to do this.

My 97 Jetta came with a speedo/tach cluster. You're best bet might be trying to locate one of these in a local salvage yard and swapping that in. The km's will change to whatever is on the new speedo, so you might want to find one with mileage close to yours or maybe take your cluster apart and install your speedo into the new cluster.
