Inlet manifold bummer... Or not??
« on: April 09, 2007, 11:17:05 am »
Hi guys. I have put an aaz into my mk2 gtd. I used the kkk24 turbo from a mk2 and the mk2 inlet manifold. I have a tuned aneroid pin and mercedes sprinter intercooler. I have been looking through some of the threads today and see that the inlet manifold from the mk2 is not well suited to the aaz head  :x    My problem now is that the engine is in the car so it will be near impossible to change the manifold. Is it necessary to use the aaz inlet manifold or can i leave the mk2 one on it without any problems???

it's not even close to impossible to change that manifold. Pull off the turbo, and then simply unbolt the intake manifold.
I'm not sure if a 1.6 manifold will actually leak on a 1.9L head, but it's definitely a square peg in the round hole. try to find a 1.9L manifold.

Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.
