belt ???'s
« on: April 07, 2007, 05:07:49 pm »
I have a 1.6 na that i'm converting to td I want to update the belts to the serpantine style on the 1.9 for use with a/c,  I'm assuming that I can use all the pulley's and brackets from the 1.9 but is there any other motors that would also work?

not sure, but maybe the TDI's would work???

ZS imports sells a kit (including the alternator) for around $450. everything you need.

I was looking into doing this too.
apparently I guess the 1.8L CL serpentine tensioner and the 1.9 diesel tensioner brackets are different.

I think you're just stuck with the 1.9td

just my $0.02
