WTB: Quantum or Fox 5-Speed Transmission

Looking for a 5-speed for my Dasher. Hopedully not just the transmission but the whole setup (shifter, linkage, flywheel, clutch, etc.)
Preferably from a Quantum TD, but I think a Fox 5-Speed would work, and I would consider one from a gasser Quantum.

Sucks. I'm in the process of cutting apart a TD Quantum, but it was an automatic.
[edit]Found a couple Fox transmissions, manual, on mypartshop.com. Select "All Parts" before you start searching, run an '88 VW Fox Trasmission/Transaxle Assembly as your search. Didn't know your ZIP, so I looked up one for Portland and used that, 97204.

First: 2.55/2.71
Second: 1.45/1.5
Third: 1
Reverse: 2.46/2.43
FD: 3.08
The numbers on either side of the slashes are for KU/KAC code transmissions, respectively. I'll need to cut my way to it to see which it is, but I'd be glad to do that for you.
[edit]Well dang, that was almost exactly five minutes. Crunching the numbers, the 5-speed 013 (Four cylinder transmission, Quantum) would only get you a final ratio of 3:1 in fifth gear (
[email protected]
final drive), so the automatic's 3.08 (
[email protected]
FD) is only slightly worse. No clue on the Fox transmission numbers.

do you know anything about the Fox 5-speed transmission? I found this website:
http://members.shaw.ca/icollect01/voxwagentransmission.html
And I'm wondering if it would be harder to mount than the Quantum TD tranny.
Also, I'm wondering if I might even be better off with a 5-speed from a 4cyl Gas Quantum b/c I have the extra HP with my modified IP. I know 5th gear is something like .60. Do you know the gear ratios for that one?? Any thoughts?

Quantum Gasser Trans (013, 2M/5M)
2M / 5M
1st 3.455
2nd 1.700/1.789
3rd 1.065
4th .778
5th .600
FD 4.11
No, no clue on the Fox gearing. Supposedly, they suck. [edit] seems like the guy on that site is comparing transverse and longitudinal transmissions in the same tables, so... just remember that some of those transmissions likely wouldn't even come close to fitting in the Fox.

So, I think I found a place with a transmission, but I still need the rest of the assembly.
I just got a new clutch disc for my current 4-speed. Will it work with the Quantum 5-speed?
I'm assuming I just need the flywheel, shifter, and linkage. Is there anything else that I need to use from the Quantum?
