Quick help please: setting timing on AAZ dual piece pump
« on: April 01, 2007, 08:53:57 am »
I bought an AAZ and the guy messed up the timing belt. How do I set the initial timing for the pump? I see that there is a notch cut out of the inner pulley, is that that I use to line it up? What do I line that up to? Or am I way off.

I tried once and it cranks and cranks but doesn't fire. It's getting fuel so I'm almost positive it's my pump timing.

I'm at the garage now and really want to get this running so a quick responce would be muchly appreciated :D

Thanks
Tyler

That the pully with 3 bolt to adjust the timing ?

If yes, just use a 7/16 bolt or something like that and use this to luck the pump at 12 o clock.

Don't remove the pully from the shaft, they are no keyway, it's only pressfited. It will be pain in the ass to reset it to the original location.

Thank you. I did some searching and read something about a 6mm lock pin so I looked for small holes and voila.

So now it runs and now it's for sale :D
