I've had other threads with this rig....somewhere. :D

TDI-M from Petr in CZ, ACME Adapters kit to bolt it to Toyota W-56 - from there it gets weird :D custom suspension, giant tires....not really a VW guy sort of thing maybe but if you have time to kill:

6 meg video of it trundling around the yard - excuse my daughter's sniffles lol

Nice! So you get the engine running good now? I haven't been working on mine much, as my other car bit the dust, so I am working on an engine swap to get it back on the road.

When he drives by, babies cry, and women whisper to one another "Dear God, what is that thing?"

Nice job Volk Sama!

yah, it runs - starts fine at 20F with no glowplugs even - but the pump isn't reacting like I think it should yet - Petr is supposed to swap me out but this hasn't happened yet. It will at least go of road. My seat of pants dyno says this may be about 80-90 hp now, with no smoke - but I'm in low range on 250 pound tire/wheel combos so who knows exactly? I know I expect SOME smoke for power and it's not there yet,  so I will continue to work at it.

It is a good rig for "wooded property" - I like having a junkhauling/wood cutting/moose-meat getting machine again :D

There's a Toyota conversion going on over in Zuwharrie http://bbs.zuwharrie.com/ - looks good. I think the 1.9TDI has plenty of power for a Toyota - a Cummins would have MORE but it's a pretty rattly diesel, and at 600 pounds or so it's not a small motor.
