Would a d24t (Volvo) mate up to the 4 sp tranny in my Doka and would the engine be worth it or should I go for the 1.9TD :oops: ?
1987 1.9TD Doka from Germany gasser DU tranny, fuel turned up, 1.6 LDA pin, boost at 15 psi,egt and boost gauges,stock diesel tach,air filter behind passenger tail light, IC to come
2005 Jetta Wagen TDI
B6200 Kubota Diesel
16ft Freestyle catermeran
16ft Sunray 85HP

Mate up, not without an adapter plate. Then there's the matter of the extra 6" or so of space you'd need just to fit the block in there, no belts involved. [edit] Well, it might mate up, if your present engine is a VW 5-cylinder engine.[/edit]

As to whether or not it's worth it, that's for others to chime in and say.

You can get the Audi 2.0 TD in there if you use the South African bell housing, but in order to install the 6 cyl you will have to do some serious chopping, the crank pulley, alternator and powersteering pump will stick out of the back.
I would go for the 1.9 TD, it is an easy swap.
