Its not that easy to just remove the compressor as the A/C alt turns at a different speed when compard to the non A/c alt so the Tach would be out to lunch.
Also there would be no belt adjustment as the A/C alt is fixed not to mention the A/C alternator is in a different posiotion from non A/C so the belt would hit the timing belt cover if modded.

Thats my suggestion as well is to use the non ac bracket, put it back together the right way and call it a day
