So to help with the rarified air at my altitude, and assuming the parts could
swap over, would it help me to put the GT17 compressor and housing with
the VNT 15 compressor wheel? It seems to me it would help balance things out, or is my thinking flawed and I should just keep it as a GT17?

Do you have a compressor map for the VNT 15 compressor wheel?

   Turbos don't like altitude, since the pressure ratio across the comp wheel is greater for any given output PSI you are more likely to cross the surge line and also more likely to cross the choke line, both BAD for your snail.

I meant to say vnt-15 exhaust turbine with the gt17 compressor so as to put a little more load on the turbo due to the less dense air. Sorry, I hurt my back, and I think my drugs were imparing my articulation. :mrgreen:
