TDI vs. IDI
« on: March 03, 2007, 01:51:54 am »
I seem to be having alot more trouble finding a 1.6TD engine that I thought I would for my '90 Golf. Starting to think about putting a TDI setup in it, is it worth the hassle? How difficult is the swap, what's all involved? Thanks for any help.

if you get the earliest tdi engine, it will be a drop in, as are 1.9TD engines.

the new engines require some engine mount modifications..

if you're converting the tdi to run on mechanical pump, thats a really good idea!
