Hi all: 1986 TD Jetta with Bosch # 0 460 494 182 IP (VW part # 068 130 081F)... exactly like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.de/016-Einspritzpumpe-VW-Audi-1-6-TD-0-460-494-182_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ160069595949It's leaking at the throttle shaft and the shaft is quite wobbly... gonna replace the O-ring and the bushing while I'm at it.
My Bosch dealer has multiple part numbers listed for the bushing and needs to know how tall it is (19mm 24mm ... evidently there are 6 different heights). They are 3-4 weeks away and I'd like to order it in advance of pulling my pump apart.. only want to do that once.
By any chance does anyone have this particular pump apart on a bench somewhere and can stick a mike on the throttle bushing ??
Thanks in advance...
Vince
you order your bushing yet? i just happen to have that exact pump in my shop stripped down, i will get a measurement if you still need it
Nope, still looking for the bushing height... thanks a bunch if you can dig it up for me.
Vince
Vince, did you ever get a new bushing and did it fix the leak? My 92 EcoDiesel IP 0 460 484 027 is leaking at the throttle shaft and I want to replace the bushing and o-ring. Do you have a DIY procedure with pics?
Bushing swap is easy.
I put an allen head bolt, with an allen head socket in it, and hammer it out.
I use a bigger allen head bolt to hammer the new bushing in,.. or you could use a bolt and washers to press it in..
What about getting the throttle springs and the cover off then back on? Is that straight forward or and can it be botched easily?
