didnt quite no where to post this, but whats the arrow with the green light on the dash gauge cluster for? when i rev it lights up.

It would probably be the shift light. It tells you when to shift for optimum fuel mileage.

no owners manual.
and my 84 gti didnt have one.
just saw one in my buddys 87 gti tho, and he told me he pulled it out of the 84 before i bought it.
