• Hi All,
  
  I had a conversation with Giles today to see if he could 'enhance' the stock Vanagon 1.6TD pump I have on my motor. He was unsure if he could do it or not and requested I get the part number so he could check the pump out.
  I believe the Vanagon pump is a JX.
  
  I know the LDA is different and from snippets I have read here it sounds like it may be different internally as well. So if anyone has this part number please forward it to me so I can check with Giles.

• Yeah, but I don't have the pump, it's at the shop where they are doing the install from 1.6NA to 1.6TD and I won't get down there for a few days.

• the motor actually out of a vanagon or is it just a 1.6td out of w/e.  if so it could just be a regular pump, in which case there will be clearance issues with the pump and the engine bay lid thing

• The motor is out of a German Vanagon and it has the stock Vanagon 1.6TD pump, with the different LDA (and who knows what else) so I am looking for the part number specific to the Vanagon 1.6TD pump.

  Funny to see your collection of American pick-ups and the van in Sweden while I am here in the USA with a collection of German cars. Is that an El Camino? I was driving next to a beautiful one this morning on the way to work.

• Hehe! Yep, I got quite a collection. It´s a -84 El camino on airbags. It´s still sitting in the garage needing some more work done to it.
  
  And regarding the PM you sent, I don´t have that pump anymore. I sold it when I got hold of a regular one with a LDA top.
  
  Hope everything works out for you with the pumps and all.
