A2 Jetta/ Passat interchangeability
« on: February 26, 2007, 03:00:18 pm »
I have a chance to strip a 92? 16V Passat at the local junk yard before it gets crushed. Everything on it is good except the automatic transmission. Will any of the parts off it fit my A2 Jettas? I only have until Thursday before the crusher comes.

More good news. He just hauled in a running 84 diesel Rabbit. Said if I want the motor out of it just take it out...for free, along with any of the parts off the 89 turbodiesel and the 94 Jetta.  :D Looks like my lucky day.

Well, I've used him good over the years. Kept his 92 Jetta (which I also own now) going for him for a couple years and have been keeping his wrecker up and running. It's a good deal for both of us.
