  I did say I wouldn't buy a 'transverse' didn't  I?

I've actually bought it to replace my mother-in-law's Polo (a kind of Audi 50).
 She was looking for power steering as she was 82 in August and her wrists are weakening and her night vision is reducing (better lights in one of these!)

Just like buses; see none for ages and then along comes three together!
This one looks exciting; I asked the old girl if she would prefer one with a sound system.... She declined. Although she thought it would be fun to pull up in it in her road once to shock the curtain twitchers...

Actually this has probably been thrashed; and I/C hasn't been operating with its full cowling...

Just reporting that after afew pointers on driving the GTD my 81 yr old mother-in-law has decided she likes the GTD...

Blast!!! Last Sunday she had got all flustered about it and was going to let me have it.  I think it was because I reduced the 'lag' so that she can nip in and out of the traffic like with her little gasser

where's the battery in that thing? still up front, hidden under that I/C baffling?

Holy crap...is it just me or is that super cheap??? That would be worth importing for that much.

side note:

Im sure this has been answered...but is it easy to come up with a complete GTD intercooler setup over there?

yea watchout... her last days will be spent driving the crap out of that car... oh you'll get the car back... minus a hundred psi compression... etc

i'd say when she gets a bit older start turning down the fuel gradually...
