« on: February 24, 2007, 05:31:00 am »
Where can I get the info on setting up my pump, its clanging terrible so I have bought all new filters, belt, Dti and am going to attack it tomorrow,. since I replaced the pump it has turned into a nightmare, its really noisey and has No Go at all, the pump was supposed to be reconed before I bought it too and I have already moved the pump a tooth! Wouls it even run more than 1 tooth out?

Yup, unfortunately there's quite a bit more to setting the timing than getting the cam belt on the right tooth. The camshaft has to be in exactly the right spot and the pump should be timed with a dial gauge to within pretty precise specs.

If you search for "timing" here or on the forums at www.vwdieselparts.com you'll find tons of info... some good instructions are here:
