FEELER: pre-made mk1 diesel tachs
« on: February 23, 2007, 02:32:18 pm »
i know the instructions are up here, and i am happy that they are,  but for those who aren't electronically skillful, or those who just don't wanna do the conversions i'd like to offer up the mk1 diesel tachs  for around 120shipped.  just wanted to see what kind of interested there would be from the community, if the mk1 tachs go well, there are like a freaking zillion mk2 tachs in the junkyard i go to, so i can make those as well.  here are pics ones i have made, all though most of you have already seen them since i whore the *** out of them lol  any suggestions or questions or w/e just ask them here.

hmm i've thought about that before too, probably 80 shipped for a gas tach core and 90-100 shipped for a diesel clock core?  it's pretty easy to make the gas membrane into a diesel one, but it's nice to have the diesel ones around.  i dunno if thats fair or not, lemme know what you think about the prices, this is all up in the air

i haven't done a vanagon yet but i wouldn't mind trying, the cluster looks like it shares alot of parts with the cabriolet and jeta clusters

I saw you mention that MK2 clusters fit in SciroccoII dashes?  If so, I may be interested!  :)  Got a pic of a MK2 cluster done up?  That would make my swap a lot easier.

i am pretty sure mk2 clusters do go into sciroccos, alot of the electronics in sciroccos is very very a2.  and i've heard they fit, or they are similar, you could always convert a scirocco tach over though too.  a 160mph 16v cluster would be nice
