My 1.6 N/A caddy is struggling, hard starts and fuel consumption is getting worse day by day.. Can anyone recommend a good place that rebuilds them? quickly! While I'm at it, can i upgrade the injectors for more performance? install turbo injectors? gtd nozzles??
Thanks for your responses as i need this done like yesterday!

You could easily rebuild your injectors yourself if you wanted too. If you want to have them pop tested to make sure they are all close within spec, you could leave the job to a bosch shop but expect to pay in between 60-100 or so for pop testing. Rebuilding them though is not difficult. Just need to be clean about things and keep them in the proper parts order. Then Bentley has a good diagram of the injector as it comes apart to aid in this.
New nozzles can be purchased at a variety of places. Kerma has both normal nozzles and "GTD" nozzles at
www.kermatdi.com
and I believe
www.tdtuning.com
has them as well, that site is currently down. Just to mention a few places they are available.

you might have some timing issues with the turbo injectors... they open at around 155 bar (unless they are really worn out) and your N/A's open at around 130 bar. that may affect timing!

Your symptoms are not just specific to worn injectors, btw... could also be poor compression, poor fuel delivery from a clogging filter, or degrading timing due to pump wear.
Any idea how many miles your engine has ?? Your injectors ?? Your pump ??
Hate to see you spend a whack of money on new injectors and still not solve your issue ??

and as far as "when" the injectors open...that is something that can be adjusted by your local Bosch injector shop and/or diesel repair shop. Injectors could be reshimmed to the specs that you want...
